Bombay Jazz.
Live jazz, every Thursday. Two sets from 7pm. Free with your table.
Every Thursday from 8 October, Chai St hosts live jazz from young musicians of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. Two sets from 7pm, played at a level that sits under the conversation and lifts between courses.
In the 1930s, Goan musicians filled Bombay's hotel ballrooms with jazz. We are bringing a little of that to High Street: good food, young players, and a Thursday that doesn't need a reason.
There is no ticket and no cover charge. Book a table, come for dinner, stay for the second set. Chai St pays the musicians a guaranteed fee, and if you'd like to add something on the night there's a QR code on your table: every penny goes to the players.
